What is speed dating? How does it work? When and Where are the events? Why should I speed date? Speed dating is a safe, easy, fun way to meet new people!

If you think about it, it takes meeting a number of people before you find someone you click with. But the problem is, how do you meet them in the first place? Sure there are ways--bars, blind dates, dating services, online, etc. But they all have their disadvantages and they take time...lots of it.

Speed dating is an event where you have up to 12 dates (one-on-one conversations) that are 7 minutes each in one night. Think of it as a series of "facilitated introductions" just like when you go to a party with a good host. Afterwards, if there's interest (you discreetly circle on your interest sheet who you would like see again), you'll get an email with contact information to that person. There's no pressure, no rejection, no embarrassment and no games!

A KC Speed Dating events are like cocktail parties for singles. Our events are held in a chic restaurants/bars or clubs where you meet 7-12 single guys or girls in your preferred age group. For 7 minutes you chat with each of your dates - just enough time to figure out who you’d like to see again. Before you know it you've dated 7-12 people in one night!

Getting Started:

1st Step – Register

First check the events page to see if there is an event that meets your preferences. If there is an scheduled event that meets your perferences then click on the registration button. After clicking the button you will be redirected to a secure link to pay for the event fee. The normal cost to attend a KC Speed Dating event is $30.00, you may pay online through paypal using a visa, master card, american express or by check. This ensures you a spot on our guest list for that event. Keep in mind that all KC Speed Dating events are on a first come first serve basis with a limited amount of space.

If there is not an event scheduled that meets your preferences then you can complete an online pre-registration form. Pre-registration allows us to send you invitations to future events that meet your preferences. In the pre-registration form you tell us a bit about whom you are and who you’d like to meet by listing how old you are and the age range of the people you'd like to meet.

2^nd Step – E-mail Confirmation & Inventation

After completing registration for an event you will receive an e-mail that confirms your registration.

If you pre-registered then you will receive invitations to events that meet your preference as they are posted. Our unique system creates events specifically tailored to your preferences. You can accept your invitation by clicking on a link in the invitation email. Once you accept your invitation you are then redirected to the site for payment. You only pay for the events you choose to attend. After your payment is made you will receive an e-mail confirming your registration.

3^rd Step –The Event

Finally time for the big event, all you need to do is relax and let your swag show! You'll see signs pointing you to the private area where the event will take place. You'll be greeted by your host who will make sure you've got a drink and appetizers and the host will explain how the evening will work.

Before the event is under way you will be given a personal match card where you write down the names of your dates and put either a yes or no next to each name. There is no limit to the number of "yes’s" you choose and your choices are just between you and KC Speed Dating. If you have put a "yes" to someone who has also put a "yes" to you, that's a match!

4^th Step – After the Event

Before you leave the event your host will collect your personal match card. Your host will enter the information into our software which will calculate the mutual matches. Remeber, a match is when you've indicated that you'd like to see someone again and they like you too! We'll send you an email within 48hrs after the event with the contact details of the people you've matched with - there could be more than one!

Safe Enjoyable Environment: At our events, the conversations are comfortable and safe because nobody is allowed to ask for your last name, phone number or for a date. Our venues provide pleasant relaxing atmospheres. After each date, if both participants indicate that they would like to meet again, then we will provide phone numbers and e-mail addresses to both parties.

Quick: Have 7+ great dates in one night! Typically you spend all your time and money on a blind date with just one person. Our events allow you to meet numerous people for much less than a typical diner and movie.

Fun: It’s a GREAT PARTY! Typically there's a cash bar, complimentary appetizers, and a room full of single people who want to meet you! When you go to an event you'll see that the energy in the room increases as everyone is meeting lots of new people - quite different from the usual bar scene where most people stay clustered with their small group of friends all night! Everyone has a story to tell, and what could be more exciting then learning about another person...and maybe finding someone or several people who you really connect with!

KC Speed Dating Rules!

1. You are not allowed to ask anyone for their contact information. This includes their phone number, last name, e-mail address, business card, or their address.

2. You are not allowed to ask anyone if they would like to have another date.

3. You are not allowed to ask sexually explicit questions, use lewd language, or say anything that might be interpreted as threatening or as sexual harassment. Please be polite and respectful!

Failure to abide by this will result in immediate removal from the event and all future events with NO refund!
